PLA

UltiMachine PLA is made from renewable natural resources like corn. Our filament is made from highest quality NatureWorks Ingeo resins. It is made from corn grown in the United States. The manufacturing is done in the United States. So it is entirely made in the United States. Our filament is designed specifically for RepRap use and is community tested and approved.
Benefits
-Less warping when printing
-Eco-friendly material
-Sweet Smell
Extrusion Characteristics
UltiMachine PLA is and best extruded between 160C - 220C depending on machine and print job. There are many extruder designs out right now and assembly techniques. The most common extrusion temperatures are 180C - 210C. (185C is a good place to start)
Lower temperatures are preferred for: small printed areas, large overhangs, or other situations where faster phase change is beneficial lower temperatures are preferred. Lower temperatures also reduce swell inside the extruder and decrease the extrusion after feedstock drive is stopped.
Higher temperatures allow the build material to flow into printed areas and extrude faster, and bond to previously extruded stock faster. At the same the filament becomes more viscous and more PLA evacuates the extruder after drive is stopped. A fan can help the PLA solidify faster and improve performance.
